The Group is aggressively working upon its 'Vision 5000' of setting up of pithead based thermal power plants of capacity 5000 MW in the states of Jharkhand (1215 MW), Maharashtra (1435 MW), Bihar (1215MW) and West Bengal (1215 MW). The group has started with its project implementation in Maharashtra and Jharkhand in full swing and has initiated development activities for its power venture in West Bengal, and Bihar, which are in various stages of development.

The Group firmly believes that consistent availability of coal in quantity and quality from captive sources affects the long-term sustainability of the projects and impacts its commercial viability. The Group has thus acquired a number of coal mines from the Coal Ministry, GOI, thereby making the thermal power generation highly cost competitive The GROUP, by virtue of its highly qualified, experienced and committed team the group is keen to emerge as a power leader by setting up new landmarks in the industry.

Corporate Power Limited (1215 MW)
Corporate Power Limited (CPL) is a Special Purpose Vehicle of Abhijeet Group exclusively incorporated in the year 2006 for the Power Venture in Jharkhand. The phase-1 comprising of 540 MW (2x270) of Power Plant, a 1215 MW Pithead based Thermal Power plant (IPP) in Jharkhand, is under implementation. The BTG contract has been awarded to Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL). The first phase will be completed by end of the year 2010 and subsequently Phase II of 2X270 MW will be initiated. Power Purchase Agreement with Power Trading Company (PTC) has already been accomplished whereby the company will be selling power to the power deficit states of the country. CPL`s total investment for the projects is Rs. 59 Billion.
Abhijeet MADC Nagpur Energy Private Limited (271 MW)
The Group achieved yet another milestone by being awarded the prestigious power project in the Multimodal International Hub Airport and Special Economic Zone (MIHAN) by the government of Maharashtra in an International commercial bidding whereby the group will generate, transmit and distribute 246 MW Power Plant along with an additional 25MW Diesel Generator Set for the project on Built Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis for a period of 33 Years. Thus Abhijeet MADC Nagpur Energy Private Limited (AMNEPL), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) is promoted jointly by the group and Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) for providing reliable, uninterrupted and low cost Electricity to the projects of Maharashtra government viz. MIHAN and SEZ areas. Total capital outlay for the project is around 14 Billion It will thus emerge as a world class facility ensuring excellent quality in generation transmission and distribution of power. The investment for the Project will be 11000 Mn.
Group further plans to add an additional capacity of 250 MW in Phase II
Corporate Ispat Alloys Limited (64 MW)
The flagship company of the Group, Corporate Spat Alloys Limited (CIAL), has commissioned a 12 MW Coal Based Captive Power Plant at Siltara Growth Centre, Raipur in the State of Chhattisgarh. It is further adding another 40MW of power plant comprising 30 MW of coal based Captive Power Plant and 10 MW of Biomass Based Thermal Power Plant and in Durgapur, West Bengal. The latter will be commissioned very soon.
A 24 MW Hydel Power plant at Balason, WB is under implementation with an investment of Rs. 2400 Million.
Abhijeet Infrastructure Limited (15 MW)
Abhijeet Infrastructure Limited (AIL) is effectively utilizing its allocated coal mines by its 15 MW Captive Power Plant at Raipur, which has already been commissioned.
Coastal Ferrotech Limited (180 MW)
CFL, our Group Company which is setting up a Ferro Alloy plant at Haldia will also set up 180 MW power plant with project cost of Rs. 1800 Mn at Haldia itself.
